Abstract:
In Jewish Population Studies (World Jewish Population: Trends and Policies) 23, 236-250. In striving to increase awareness of Jewish demographic issues, the question is how the Jewish people can affect a matter that is ultimately extraordinarily private and personal. Elazar's presentation is followed by a response from Daniel Thurz. Following this panel discussion, Charlotte Jacobson and Roberto Bachi, respond. Finally, Sydney Goldstein presents suggestions for a demographic survey and Daniel Elazar offers conclusions.
