Abstract:
In Jewish Population Studies 16 (Papers in Jewish Demography, 1981), 239-256. This objective of this paper is to explore one of the mechanisms involved in American Jewish fertility that has not hitherto fore been examined in any depth, contraceptive usage. What are the variations in the type of contraception used among American women? To what extent are Jewish-non-Jewish differences in contraceptive usage related to socio-economic factors or to other uniquely Jewish characteristics.
