Abstract:
Picking up where Arnulf Pins left off in his article of the same title appearing in the same issue, the author explores implications of the aftermath of Israel's Yom Kippur war for the Jewish community. The concept of Diaspora, argues the author, is outdated, and the Jewish community ought to think of itself as one large community with members in various locations worldwide. The author further suggests a number of criteria by which programs should be evaluated, in light of these changing realities for the Jewish community.
