Abstract:
This article examines the current role that women play in Jewish communal service. The author analyzes the employment rates of several Jewish communal service organizations and attempts to explain the rationale behind women’s placement. The article suggests that an inherent limitation in women prevents them from desiring to seek promotion for high-level positions.
