Abstract:
The Center movement started with small literary organizations designed to meet social and intellectual needs. These organizations evolved into building-centered institutions serving the whole community. The author predicts that the emphasis will shift towards the development of an ideology providing a generic base for Mass Jewish education. The Center will maintain its traditionally "neutral"—that is, non-denominational—stance.
