Abstract:
The author asserts that Jewish organizations have not changed as quickly as their constituents, the Jewish community. The author enumerates differences between the generation born in the 1970s and the one born in the 1940s. Among the generation gaps are those in education level, occupational characteristics, suburbanization rates, intermarriage rates, mobility levels, and religious affiliation. The author advocates the creation of a new institution designed to manage practices effectively.
