Abstract:
The author presented this piece to a group of Jewish communal service workers who identified themselves as being unsure of the Jewish standards and positions of their agencies, unsure of the Jewishness of their clients' goals and motivations, and unsure of their own Jewish commitments. He reviews past and present conceptions of how Jewishness and Jewish values effect the essence of Jewish agencies.
