Abstract:
The long-term health care industry faces enormous challenges in Colorado and across the country. Sector initiatives provide an industry-focused approach to regional workforce and economic development. Because sector initiatives incorporate strategies for workforce development, as well as strategies to change industry practices, public policies, and public institutions with which the industry and its workers interact, sector initiatives provide an effective means of responding to the industry's challenges.
